Allaah ( اللّهُ تعالى ) IS KNOWN THROUGH REASON

..... Let us look at the Eiffel Tower, the symbol of Paris. Its construction began in 1887 and lasted for over 26 months. It towers 321 metres high and for 40 years it was the world’s tallest man made structure. Despite it lightweight appearance it weighs around 9000 tons.

..... A group of architects and workers were employed to design and build this monument. Even if you have never seen these people erecting the Eiffel tower you will certainly know that it has been built by a group of people.

..... Now, if somebody approached you and told you there had once been a large iron reserve in the towers vicinity and that in-fact the tower had been formed after a huge explosion, you would judge this to be utter nonsense.

..... The same is true for other great works of art around the world. Such as the Great Wall of China, the Roman Coliseum, the pyramids of Egypt. All these works were designed and built by architects and builders.

..... The huge megaliths of Britain’s stone henge give mute evidence of the existence of an earlier civilization. All these examples demonstrate one truth. Small or large, all structures that require a detailed design were designed and built by someone.

..... What about this universe of ours? And the extraordinary balance that guides it? And what about the millions of different species, all with different characteristics?

..... Thinking that all we see around us came into being by a result of a coincidence, isn’t it more ridiculous than claiming the Eiffel tower came together as the result of an explosion?

..... Without a doubt, it is evident in every single corner of the universe was designed by a power.

..... This power is Almighty Allaah ( اللّهُ تعالى ). The endless power of who created everything in the universe with all its spendour.

..... The universe contains endless evidence that proves Allaah ( اللّهُ تعالى )’s existence and might and man knows all this by using his mind.


..... In a verse of the Qur’an, people are told that they can find the signs of Allaah ( اللّهُ تعالى ) in nature:

..... ‘In the creation of the heavens and earth and the alternation of the night and day… and the water that Allaah ( اللّهُ تعالى ) sends down from the sky by which He brings the earth to life when it was dead and scatters about in it creatures of every kind and the varying directions of the winds and the clouds subservient between heaven and earth. There are signs for people who use their intellect’.

..... Let us now look at the human body which is one piece of testimony for Allaah ( اللّهُ تعالى )’s art of creation. Both the inside and outside of our bodies includes endless evidence for believing in Allaah ( اللّهُ تعالى ).

..... We can easily see the excellence of Allaah ( اللّهُ تعالى )’s work just by looking at the outward appearance of the human body.

..... The …??? of the human body requires two arms, two legs, a body and a head. This … ??? is made up of perfect ratios. Every human being has a body which is eight times as large as the head. Our faces are three times as long as our noses.

..... The distance between our two eyes is the size of another eye. The ratio between our arms and legs was calculated in the best way possible.

..... The human body is the most perfect machine in the world and just like any machine it displays the knowledge and the capability of the power that designed it.

..... The inside of the human body is too full of wonders. One doesn’t have to look far to see the numerous signs and wonders of Allaah ( اللّهُ تعالى ), they are literally under our noses.

..... Islam is not a blind faith but one which coincides with science and logic. Again and again Allaah ( اللّهُ تعالى ) encourages one to use his intellect and use their reasoning.

..... There is no possibility whatsoever that this universe and everything contained within happened by chance. It is apparent when one examines the signs of creation that all things are subject of an intelligent design.

..... The famous physicist Sir Fred Hoyle makes a striking observation about the origin of life. In his book The Intelligent Universe he writes:

..... ‘The chance that all life came to be by coincidence is comparable with the chance of a tornado sweeping through a junk yard and assembling a Boeing 747 from the scrap metals therein’.
